Subtlety is silly when you're asking for donations to charity, so I'll just come out with it:

Every October, I and some of the local Knitty staff and readers do the Run for the Cure to support breast cancer research. It's a 5k dealy and it's more of a walk than a run for most participants, but last year, the Toronto walk alone raised over $7million. That's so cool.

Just checking out our stats for this board and I learned that, as of today, renewal in May (when our initial 6-month membership is up) will cost $158 for another 6 months. What we've signed up for is the ad-free option they call "Gold Community". That's why it's so pretty around here.

ezBoard charges Knitty to keep this board running ad-free based on bandwidth. But for $12 a year, you can become an ezSupporter and lower our renewal bill.
